Our Community
Kirkland Lake Discoveries (KLDC) is located within Treaty 9 lands, an area that is governed by the Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN). The property is hosted in the Beaver House First Nation's territory and is also located within an area recognized by the Métis Nation of Ontario as Region 3 traditional harvesting territory.

KLDC and BHFN have signed a cooperation agreement as of January 2024. This agreement solidifies KLDC’s dedication to environmental stewardship, and continued consultation with BHFN.
KLDC respects and engages meaningfully with indigenous and local communities. The Company is committed to working constructively with local communities, indigenous groups and government agencies to ensure that exploration work is conducted in a culturally and environmentally sensitive manner.
